Säätötuli -delivery for grain drying

Our products offer a cost-effective and environmentally friendly solution for grain drying. By changing an oil-powered grain dryer to, for example, a sawdust-powered one, a significant saving in fuel costs is achieved. In addition, the degree of self-sufficiency in fuel increases and the price risk decreases. Fuel savings accrue more when the moisture percentage of the grain increases.

We supply combustion equipment and components sized according to the customer's needs in the size class 200–950 kW as part of a grain drying system. The scope of delivery consists of a reliable and easy-to-use Säätötuli burner, Säätötuli discharger, fuel and ash screws and automation.

Good test results for Säätötuli burner

The burners were tested in 2023 with the Mepu grain furnace in 2023.

"The test carried out by the Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences included two nominal power classes of the bio-furnace. The 500 kWh nominal power increased to 650 kWh and the 800 kWh nominal power increased to 950 kWh. The test was performed outdoors. The test measured, among other things, the moisture percentage of the wood chips, flue gas temperature, efficiency at nominal power, particle emissions and the proportion of unburned gases. The measurement results of clean combustion and efficiency were top class," says Pasi Rautiainen from Mepu Oy.

The bio-furnace can be equipped with a burner from different manufacturers, whose easy-to-use logic control takes care of the system's operation. Mepu Oy recommends Ariterm's Säätötuli burner, which was used to measure the increased nominal outputs of larger ovens.

"In the Ariterm burners we choose, the proportion of ceramics is the key to achieving high, clean and efficient combustion temperatures when combined with the Mepu bio-furnace," says Pasi Rautiainen.
