Flexible use of biofuels

Ariterm's MultiJet bio-burner is designed for several different biofuels. Suitable fuels for the burner include e.g. different quality wood chips, wood and peat pellets, lump peat, and different field fuels.

The MultiJet has a fully movable grate, thanks to which the fuel mixes efficiently on the grate surfaces. The mobility of the grate improves especially the transfer of ash from fuels with a high ash content from the burner head to the boiler's ash compartment. The grate's actuator is a durable and long-lasting spindle motor, or hydraulics in larger burners (700 - 1500 kW). The fuel supply is implemented with a two-screw supply system, which is an essential part of the structural fire safety of the equipment.

The burner is equipped with two (less than 200 kW) or four combustion air fans. The fans are controlled from the control center so that the mixture ratio of fuel and air always remains optimal when driving at different powers. In larger burners (200 - 1500 kW), different amounts of air can be directed to the front and back of the grate, depending on the burner's current power. This achieves clean combustion and high efficiency in all conditions. The boiler also stays cleaner this way. The structure and materials of the burner take into account the demanding conditions in which the bioburner has to operate continuously.

MultiJet 40-500 kW is equipped with one burner screw. The larger MJ700-1500 are equipped with one or two parallel burner screws. In this way, the fuel is spread evenly over the wide grate. Models equipped with two burner screws require, depending on the fuel and fuel storage location, a separate distributor screw to transfer fuel from the silo/storage screw to both burner screws.
